She uses the surnamed Bea to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan is a Kildare born woman. She was born in March 16, 1984. The father of Bea was Brian was a vet for horses who died by suicide at three-years-old. She did not learn the cause of her death until thirteen years later. The stage name Bea is a tribute to her father. She was the author of an opinion piece for The Guardian, published in 2017 about her experiences with suicide. Bea was fostered by her older sister Sinead and her mother Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer, and a former professional racer.
