Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works on TV and in films is most well-known for her roles in films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of 16she already secured a number of TV roles including the lead role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also a critically-acclaimed one. Additional Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex.
